Incident Caps | Lets a corrective action plan be created directly off an incident, using pre-built templates that already carry the standard steps, owners and deadlines. Everything tied to one incident stays grouped together, and work can be assigned to people who do not have a Incident access. | Until now a corrective action plan could only be built off an audit finding, so anything arising from an incident was written up and chased by hand outside the product. Now the fix for a compliance concern is created, assigned and tracked on the case itself. The assignee does not need access to the incidents module to take part, since their cap is routed to them through cap Tracker, so the plan reaches the person who actually performs the correction without exposing the underlying case to anyone who should not see it. When the case is later reviewed, the incident and everything done about it sit together in one record. |
HIPAA repeat-finding detection | Automatically checks whether the person named on a HIPAA case was already involved in an earlier HIPAA case that was substantiated and acted on within the prior year, and shows those earlier cases right beside the Repeat Findings question on the form | How an organization responds to a HIPAA incident depends on whether it is the person's first one or a repeat. A first slip might only need retraining. A repeat might need discipline. |
